I did not realise the implication of this statement until recently.

BACKGROUND
Born in Nigeria, in 1962, third child in a family of six children and raised in a culture that placed a lot of emphasis on academic qualifications. It’s not surprising that I quickly acquired the mindset of “Go to university, get a degree, get a job and settle down”.
Actually, my course of study was chosen for me! Followed the path, bagged a pharmacy degree, got a job, got married and had my children. Life became a routine!

DISCOVERY
Many years later we (me, our boys and my husband) relocated to the UK in search of financial and time freedom or so I thought. Having fulfilled all the requirements to practice in the UK, I dived into working all day every day of the Week - trading time for money - with the hope of achieving our goal. The more I worked (sometimes 16hrs/day), the more elusive the achievement of our goal became. Oh! Was I ignorant!
What else could I do? What is the secret to the time and financial freedom?
Then comes the shift towards digitalisation. I was stuck. No business skills nor tech savvy. How do I become relevant in the changing world? Desperate for answers, I turned onto the internet engine.
Overwhelmed with so much information, “Pluck me, pluck me, pluck me” was all I heard. Kept going from one you tube channel to the other and then......
I stumbled across a speaker who said: “If you work hard on your job, you make a living”, “If you work hard on yourself you make a fortune”
BAM…. This was my lightbulb moment, I FINALLY GOT IT!!!

We had worked hard at our jobs all these years to barely make a living indeed. 'We get paid for bringing value to the marketplace, we don’t get paid for time', I realised.

So……
I embarked on a journey of self-development which led to self-discovery. I made out time for myself (at least 1hr daily) devoted to reading books and watching videos on self-development.
On one occasion, whilst listening to a mind/brain specialist, I clicked on an advert link which led to my registering for an online digital business webinar. Had no clue about what that meant except it had digital in the topic.
My story changed from then on. In hindsight, it was God sent. When I got to watching the webinar replay, I was leaping inside me for joy. I felt like getting on roof tops and shouting “COME SEE AND PARTAKE”.
I purchased the basic package and with each module comes the revelation that it’s not just about the money to be made!!!, I could become relevant in the changing world, build my own business and still have quality time with families and friend. Wow what a revelation for me!
It is a holistic package, dealing with philosophy, attitude and engaging in activities which ultimately result in a lifestyle of each individual desire. You have access to so many tools to build your digital skills, learn online marketing, choose the path you want to follow and the option to go at your pace or fast track your journey at a reasonable cost.
